21: DMR@School : an MOE-Ednovation joint project in 2000
The concept of having a Digital Media Repository (DMR)came from MOE. Ednovation was its industry partner.
The following pictures record some of the training sessions that introduced the DMR@School concept to MOE officers and school teachers in 2000.
It was the early days of ICT and the DMR@School system encountered difficulty in disseminating data to schools because it relied on Local Area Network (LAN)which proved inadequate in terms of bandwidth.
The project was subsequently phased out and in its place, an Internet-based system called SchoolDNA by Ednovation made its appearance.
